Sapoto is a collection of two bowls and a plate of which the 1. Edition was designed with plinths of Elm and tops in polished sand cast aluminium.
The convex underside of the bowls has been mirrored into the plinths to lock them into place and make the plinths function as a support for the tops.
Natural materials have been a central focus point, and through them spark curiosity to interact with the objects. Invite to touch, pick them up and to share. The shape of the tops necessitate that they either are placed in their plinth or passed around between people, to hopefully add to social interaction.

To further spark curiosity and interaction, the plinths has been flame treated to underline the natural and beautiful grain of the Elm. This selection of materials has also been chosen to underline the intended use and to ensure a pleasant feel when placing the top in the plinth.
The bowls and plate has been designed to work individually as well as a collection. When placed together the different heights and volumes creates a dynamic feel to the objects as a whole, which makes them perfect for serving at the dinner table.
