Sapoto is a collection of bowls and a plate with a marble plinth and a top in polished sand cast aluminium. The convex underside of the bowls has been mirrored into the plinths to lock them into place and make the plinths function as a support for the tops.
Natural materials have been a central focus point, and through them spark curiosity to interact with the objects. Invite to touch, pick them up and to share. The shape of the tops necessitate that they either are placed in their plinth or passed around between people, to hopefully add to social interaction.
Sapoto can be used for either serving or as decorative elements in the home.

The bowls and plate has been designed to work individually as well as a collection. When placed together the different heights and volumes creates a dynamic feel to the objects as a whole, which makes them perfect for serving at the dinner table.
Sapoto is designed for Gejst, available at www.Gejst.com

An exclusive edition of the collection has been made with plinths in burned Elm which can be seen here.
